軟水
軟水（なんすい）は、カルシウムやマグネシウムのイオン含有量が少ない水。工業用水にむき、飲む|飲用、炊飯にも適す。日本では、カルシウムとマグネシウムの量がリットル当たり178mg未満（硬度 (水)|硬度178）の水をいう。軟水は金属石けん（石けんカス）が出来にくい。硬度60の水と硬度1の水では、石けんを溶かす能力に2倍の差がある。
